SPS-1 Stereo Preamp

Something for Everyone

Since its introduction in 1993, Pendulum's SPS-1 has been recognized as the world leader in sound quality and flexibility for processing your acoustic instruments in true stereo. With two channels of fully parametric EQ and studio-quality mic preamps, the SPS-1 can easily adapt to any combination of instrument pickups, internal mics, or external mics.

Use the SPS-1 with our two pickup preamp modules (Pickup/Pickup or Pickup/Mic) to individually process two pickups or a pickup and an internal mic in stereo. Or, blend two pickups in Channel 1 with an external instrument or vocal mic in Channel 2. Run a single or two pickup instrument into each channel. Hang a stereo pair of studio mics out in front of your instrument and go direct to DAT or multitrack. Use it as two channels of parametric EQ during mixdown. The choice is up to you.

And all this flexibility comes with no sacrifice in sound quality. We've still got the cleanest, quietest, warmest all-analog signal path in the business. It's the reason that Pendulum is the choice of serious acoustic players, both on stage and in the studio. Just look at the features we've stuffed into a single rack space!
